By 2020, GHSU will establish

• An LCME-accredited School of Medicine, dedicated to educating compassionate physicians as well as scholars, scientists and leaders in medicine with ability to lead changes in healthcare.
• An affiliated network of acute care hospitals, post-acute care facilities, home health and hospices and a network of physicians and other health professionals dedicated to providing outstanding, patient-centered, accountable and compassionate care helping change the landscape of healthcare.
• Modern, customer centric, nimble “in cloud” information system which connects facilities for medical education and research to achieve highest quality of graduates, products and services while reducing per capita/per unit costs of research and education

An affiliated network of for-profit companies dedicated to supporting the campus functions and biomedical and clinical research, including investigations of new devices and biologics, drug discovery and clinical research, as well as information technology

By 2030, GHSU will have

• A nationally known, technologically driven, digitally connected, integrated system of organizations (devoid of silos) promoting efficient, affordable education, patient care and research
• Additional educational institutions for health professions such as nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, and public health
• A research organization which brings discoveries from the “bench to bedside”, addressing genetic, metabolic and biological, tissue engineering, transplantation, and rehabilitative technology to improve quality of life of patients
• Reproducible in other geographic locations within the United States and the world
